Animal Defense League of Texas
Since I can remember, I have always been an animal lover. When I started volunteering at animal shelters many years ago, I found out that taking good photos and videos of a shelter animal increased its chance of getting adopted. During my 3-year volunteer stint at the Animal Defense League of Texas in San Antonio, I conducted over 300 personalized photo shoots with their canine residents. Here, you can view some of my models, who have all since found their forever families. Shelter photos are one of the hardest photographs to take. Shelter life is extremely stressful for anyone, and the stress is often very visible through their body language. But if you give them time and space, you can successfully capture their real personality. That's why shelter photos are my favorite type of photography.
